Christian Medical college Vellore is one amongst the biggest hospitals in the Asian country in India. the Unit of effective care at low cost that deals with the inhabitants of the
slums. Nearby is the Shalom ambulatory medicine clinic for Vellore residents.

CMC was founded in 1900 by Dr. Ida Scudder, who set the standard for selfless
