Nursing Admission Circular 2019 – 2020

There are two forms of pre-service education in nursing; one is a Diploma in Nursing, and another is BSc in Nursing.

  • There are 1570 seats in Diploma in Nursing and 700 seats in BSc in Nursing.
  • The course duration of Diploma in Nursing is 3 years, while the course duration of BSc in Nursing is 4 years.
  • 43 Govt Nursing Institute under the Department of Nursing and midwifery of Bangladesh Government manage all the courses.

Admission Requirements and Conditions for Candidates

Both Bangladeshi and International Students can apply for nursing admission. But both have to follow some rules and regulation. They are:

Bangladeshi Candidate

  • SSC equivalent and HSC/equivalent pass
  • Diploma and Nursing and Diploma in midwifery or equivalent/ Diploma in nursing science
  • candidate must have updated registration from Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery
  • Candidate must have updated registration from Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council
  • Experience: 1. at least 02 years of job experience in any govt. Organization as a senior staff nurse and you have to submit a testimonial of your job from your authority 2. Those who have experience in the non-govt organization can also apply, and there is a little negotiation in experience requirement for them
  • You have to submit your Health test certificate which is certified by an authorized doctor

International Candidate

  • Secondary School or Equivalent passed
  • Diploma in nursing passed
  • Candidate must have Updated Registration from Nursing Council of his Country
  • Experience: Candidate must have at least 02 years’ experience after Diploma in nursing
  • Health certificate, certified by an authorized Doctor
  • Foreign or International students have to apply via Embassy
