National Curriculum and Textbook Board of Bangladesh (NCTB) is the agency which manages the curriculum of education system in Bangladesh.
1. NCTB is an independent body established in 2001.
2. The organization’s main aim is to prepare a national curriculum and textbooks for all educational levels with the help of diverse stakeholders, including teachers, parents, students, private sector, government and community organizations.
3. NCTB is governed by a board with 50 members including prime minister as chairman and education ministers as members.
4. The national curriculum must be approved by the Ministry of Education before provisioning to schools or publishing anywhere else in Bangladesh
5. NCTB has been working on designing a comprehensive new course for grades 10-12 from 2021
