College education is considered an extremely important chapter of a student’s life in Bangladesh. Since it is at this level where a student has to prepare himself/herself for the future endeavors he/she will pursue. HSC level lasts for only 2 years. Within this short period of time, a student has to determine what discipline he/she will seek and what profession he/she will choose.
The population of Bangladesh is on the rise, so is the Bangladeshis’ ability to afford education. People are now more likely to send their children to schools and finance them throughout their higher-secondary and university-level education. But, the number of public educational institutions is meagre, compared to the number of enthusiasts looking for enrollment.
Public, state-funded colleges are overwhelmed with the number of applicants looking for enrollment every year. They are simply unable to deliver education to that many pupils. Plus, public colleges are sometimes laden with political clashes, result in grave hindrance in normal academic progress.
As a result, private colleges emerged. Although the tuition fees at private colleges are much higher compared to those at public colleges, they manage to offer quality education and ensure academic development.
