Noakhali Science and Technology University, also known as NSTU is a public university of Bangladesh. The university is situated in coastal territory Noakhali which is a central district town in South-eastern Bangladesh. Officially accredited and recognized by the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh, NSTU is a very renowned education institution in Bangladesh. It is the 27^th public university and 5^th science and Technology University in Bangladesh. NSTU offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, and doctorate degrees in several areas of study.

History of Noakhali Science and Technology University(NSTU)

On 15 July 2001, the then government passed an Act to establish a science and technology university in Noakhali. The foundation stone of Noakhali Science and Technology University was laid on 11 October 2003. The academic activities of this university stared on 22 June 2006. Noakhali University of Science and Technology has a campus of 101 acres. There are one 5 storied administrative building, two academic buildings, three male student halls, two female student halls, a 5 storied auditorium and TSC building, one 4 storied library building in this university. There are two sports field and two big ponds in the campus area. Moreover, the university also has portraiture of the father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

NSTU Admission Circular 2019 – 2020

NSTU admission circular for honors 1st year, session 2019-2020 has published. All eligible candidates can apply for admission, and they have to sit for an admission test. Those who will pass the admission test successfully can be able to admit to Noakhali Science and Technology University. There are six admission units in NSTU.

Unit Wise Admission Requirement of NSTU

For each unit, NSTU stated minimal requirements. Here are the details of the admission requirements.

A and B unit

• For A & B units, students have to have a science background.
• SSC and equivalent exam pass: 2015/2016/2017.
• HSC and equivalent exam pass: 2019/2019.
• Both examinations have a minimum GPA of 3.00.

C unit

• Students have to have a science background.
• HSC and equivalent students must have biology and math subjects.
• Both examinations have a minimum GPA of 3.00.

 D unit 

• Science/ Arts/ Commerce students must have minimum GPA 3.00.
• Arts students must have statistics and math in HSC and equivalent exam for statistics department.

E unit

• Only art’s students apply to this unit.
• SSC or equivalent and HSC or equivalent students must have minimum GPA 3.00.
• Examinations have a total GPA of 6.00.

F unit

• Only commerce students can apply to this unit.
• SSC or equivalent and HSC or equivalent students must have minimum GPA 3.00.
• Candidates must have a total GPA of 6.00.
