List of Public Universities in Bangladesh

Public universities are universities that are mainly financed by public means, and managed by a national or subnational government. This is in contrast to private universities.

There are currently 37 public universities in Bangladesh. While these public universities are funded by the government, they are managed by self-governing bodies. The University Grant Commission monitors the whole activities.

Several public universities were founded way before the inference of Bangladesh. And, they are still in operation.

Public universities in Bangladesh offer associate degrees, undergraduate degrees, graduate and post graduate degrees.
